The Kunst\u00admu\u00adseum Wolfsburg has been collec\u00adting inter\u00adna\u00adtional contem\u00adporary art since 1994. A solid founda\u00adtion has been laid with key works of late modernism around Minimal Art, Concep\u00adtual Art and Arte Povera. More recent positions follow. The aim was and is not to build up a broad art-histo\u00adrical collec\u00adtion, but rather a high-profile one. The focus is on key works, groups of works, phases of work and the exemplary presen\u00adta\u00adtion of artistic develo\u00adp\u00adments. The result is not a documen\u00adta\u00adtion of so-called trends, but a focus on positions and works that are repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtive of important aspects of contem\u00adporary art. The collec\u00adtion currently comprises around 1,000 works or groups of works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collec\u00adtion is mostly presented according to thematic aspects in changing exhibi\u00adtions. This makes it possible to show the works in ever new contexts and to preserve the vitality of the collec\u00adtion. The online catalog also provides a compre\u00adhen\u00adsive overview of works that are not currently on display or are on display elsewhere. Exhibi\u00adtion and detailed views as well as film and video sequences comple\u00adment the illus\u00adtra\u00adtions of the works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that some of the works are not suitable for children and young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
